WAR OF GOG AND MAGOG

Who or what is Gog? There are two battles in the Bible where these names appear. One is the battle of Ezekiel 38 and 39 and the other is one thousand years later for the last battle of all time mentioned in Revelation.

The upper Golan Heights will be one of the scenes of the Ezekiel 38 and 39 battle.

Five Clues to the Timing of This Battle

1. Israel has to be a nation. It happens on the mountains of Israel.
2. Israel must be dwelling safely. Except for the areas of Gaza Israel is a safe place to be.
3. The Jews must dwell in a land of unwalled villages. There is now no walled cities as there were in ancient times.
4. List of nations that are enemies of Israel mentioned in Ezekiel.  Persia(Iran), Ethiopia which includes Sudan and Ethiopia, Gomer, Togarmah and the North Quarters. These countries were once pro-western. They have now become fanatics who want death to Israel and death to America.
5. Some type of weaponry that would pollute the land for 7 months. See Ezekiel 39. The weapons will probably be chemical or biological.

Ezekiel 38:2-3  “Son of man, set thy face against God, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

And I will turn thee back and put hooks in your jaws, And I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords.”

Nobody rides horses into war these days? Oh yes, they do. Ben Ladin and the Mujah Hadeen in Afghanistan fought on horseback.

If an EMP (electro magnetic pulse) is used, it will knock out power and only horses and using old-fashioned methods will work.

Gog is mentioned 9 times in Scripture. I Chronicles 5:4 it is the name of a man.

1. Either Gog is a person who heads up the battle or…
2. Gog is the land area where the enemies of Israel are or..
3. Gog is some kind of an evil spirit.

GOG is a demonic spirit or what is called a principality. Here’s why:

Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

In the Bible there are demonic spirits called principalities that rule over nations and provinces.

In Daniel 10:13, 20 the prince of Persia is mentioned. Michael, the arch angel over Israel, fights him to get the answer to Daniel’s prayer through. The prince of Greecia is also mentioned. These princes of nations answer directly to Satan. Michael answers only to God Almighty.

Evidence of how angels rule over territories. Zechariah 6.  Angels over 4 corners of the earth. There are beings that control the North, South, East and West quarters of the earth.

Revelation 9:14-15. There are 4 angels bound in the Euphrates River which are loosed in the Tribulation period.

Ephesians 6:12. There are 4 types of spirits in Satan’s kingdom.

In Daniel 10 they rule over provinces, kingdoms and nations.

GOG is a very powerful wicked spirit ruling in Satan’s kingdom of a region of the world.

MYSTERY OF GOG THE INVADER

In ancient Sumerian language the word Gog or Gug means DARKNESS. King of fierce darkness.

Gog also appears in Revelation 20:8-9 at the end of the 1000 year Millennial reign of Christ.

“And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the 4 quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from GOD  out of heaven, and devoured them”

If Gog is an earthly man he cannot appear twice 1000 years apart. If he is a spirit ruling over a certain part of the world it means that he leads the battle of Ezekiel 38 and 39.  When Christ comes back at His second coming, He binds Satan for 1000 hears, puts him in the bottomless pit where all the evil spirits are bound with Satan, however, when Satan is loosed, Gog is also loosed and he goes back to the North quarters. (Revelation 20:8-9) to bring the armies back down again.

Where are the North Quarters?

Moscow, Russia for 70 years slaughtered thousands, took the Bible and faith away from the people. Communist Russia thrust an entire section of the world into utter DARKNESS.

Sumerian word, Gog means darkness. Ezekiel 38:2-3 and Daniel 12:1. He is the chief prince of Mesheck and Tubal.

Michael, one of GOD’s arch angels, is a prince that fights for Israel.

The chief demonic principality ruling in the North Country (Soviet Union) has 5 southern states that are predominantly Islamic and many of them will be part of the Ezekiel 38 and 39 battle.

Proverbs 30:27  “The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands.

Rev 9:3  And out of the smoke came forth locusts onto the earth. And authority was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have authority.

      Rev 9:11  And they had a king over them, the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in Greek his name is Apollyon.

      It could be these are the demons that possess the 200 million man army and causes this army to go forth and torture and torment men. (Locusts are an idiom for demons spirit)

     Amos 7:1  “Thus the Lord showed me, and behold a swarm of locusts were coming, and behold, one of the young devastating locusts was Gog, the King.  Septuagint LXX

     Numbers 24:7   “He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag (Gog), and his kingdom shall be exalted.”

    Amos 7:1 and Revelation 9:11

     Gog is a chief prince over Meshech and Tubal. Strong demonic prince from the North country.

THERE WILL COME A DAY WHEN THE RUSSIAN BEAR WILL MEET THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH.  THE OUTCOME NEEDS NO EXPLANATION!

Prayer for Salvation: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. If we have invited Jesus to come and live within us and be the Lord of our lives then our inheritance in the future kingdom is assured.

God's word says in John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

In order to invite Jesus to be your Savior and Lord, you must believe in you heart that He is the Son of God, believe that He died upon the cross of Calvary as an atonement for your wrong doings, and believe that He arose from death and the grave. We must confess and repent of our sins and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. If you have never done this then stop right now and pray this prayer.

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus repenting and asking forgiveness of all my sins. Your Word says, "whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:21). I am calling on You. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life according to Romans 10:9-10. "If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved" I do that now. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I am a Christian ..a child of Almighty God! I am saved!

You are now an heir to the Kingdom of God! Your future is assured. I want to encourage you to find a church in your local area to attend. Tell someone that you have just received Jesus as your Lord. Than start digging into God's Word.

"I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day" (2 Timothy 1:12
