Lightening, Thunder and the Mystery of the Rapture

How can people disappear in an event called the Rapture and yet the Bible mentions nothing about the world reaction? WHY? No reaction to what’s happened after so many disappear?

We will changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 Timothy 6:14-16; That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in His times He shall show who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Is there only one appearance of Jesus?

Messiah Ben Yosef – The lamb and suffering servant.

John 14:1-2; Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Ephesians 1:9-10; Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: That is the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth; even in Him:

Coming = return

Gathering together = a meeting place where all come together: collect something together in the same location.

To the general assembly of just men made perfect at the Rapture or gathering together.

Rapture = Great general assembly. Jewish tradition has a great general assembly every 7 years where they use a golden trumpet (not the shofar) The trump of God will sound; the golden trumpet for the Great Assembly.

2 Timothy 4:1; I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom;

1 Corinthians 3:11-15; For other foundation can no man lay that that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

JUDGMENTS

1. The church directly after the rapture as seen in 1 Cor. 3:11-15 at the Bema in Heaven.

Judgment of the Nations at the beginning of the Millennial Kingdom. (a) Sheep nations = remnant which survived WITHOUT the mark of the beast and (b) goat nations = Anyone WITH the mark of the beast.

CATCHING AWAY (RAPTURE) RETURN TO EARTH (KINGDOM)

Christ remains in the air Christ returns to earth

Dead are raised to meet Him Dead return to rule with Him

Living are caught up to meet Him Living return to rule with Him

We ascend to heavenly Jerusalem We descend to earthly Jerusalem

We worship in the heavenly Temple We worship in the earthly Temple

We are judged at the Bema in heaven Others are judged on earth

EARLIER RAPTURES

Enoch: Suddenly disappears, caught up

Elijah: Caught up in chariot of fire 2800 years ago

Jesus: Caught up (500 witnesses) in a cloud

Eye Witnesses who saw Jesus after His ascension:

Steven saw Him as he was being stoned.
Saul saw Him and was converted
John on the Isle of Patmos saw Him and he wrote Revelation

Matt. 24:43 speaks of the Goodman of the house being watchful… Those with family member missing will know something has happened. The rest of the world will not.

Why is peace suddenly taken from the earth? What would cause total chaos, terror and famine? Would the world know we are missing?

OR

Will there be something that happens in such a way that they’ll be so distracted they won’t know for weeks or months who is missing.

When the catching away (Rapture) takes place something that is so cataclysmic will happen that will affect the whole planet within an hour’s time and affect it to such an extent that they’re not going to know who went in the catching away and who didn’t.

Half the Christians will be left behind. See Matt. 25 and the parable of the 10 virgins.

Some had knowledge of the Lord but were not serving the Lord and some had knowledge and a real relationship with the Lord and were serving the Lord.

An estimated 25% of Christians in the U.S. are really serving the Lord and are LOOKING FOR HIS COMING.

75% could care less. As long as most have all their creature comforts and prosperity they don’t want Jesus to come back.

Revelation 6 peace is suddenly taken from the earth.

Revelation 4-22 is all futuristic. It hasn’t happened yet! Is there anything normal from 4 – 22; any peace?

Daniel 8:25 (antichrist) he shall destroy man

Daniel 9:27 not peace; divide Israel up

Peace not necessarily peace. It is security. Usually it is land issues.

How will the world react to our sudden departure?

LIGHTENING

Satan as lightening fell from heaven. Between Genesis chapter 1 verses 1 and 2 Satan’s fall caused chaos and darkness on the earth.

Matthew 28:3 Jesus countenance as lightening and garments as white as snow.

Matthew 28:2 Great earthquake happened at the resurrection of Jesus. Earthquakes are linked to the resurrection of the dead somehow.

Matthew 24:27 As lightening so shall the coming of the son of man be.

HOW LIGHTENING PLAYS A ROLE IN THE RAPTURE

Angels: more like lightening

Light travels at 184,000 miles per second. Travels around the earth 7 times in one second.

Ezekiel 1:14 Light connected to the glory of God.

The scientific, meteorological explanation(clouds)

The earth + (positive) signs and – (negative) signs

Cloud: bottom has – signs

Top of cloud has + signs

To produce lightening + charged particles on top of cloud and – on base with + on the ground . Negative attracks positive on ground which produces giant spark (from Osborne’s Guide to the Weather) Ground particles shoot back up into the clouds and it is called the return stroke. When the stroke meets in the air it creates a lightening strike.

Positive on ground = Our realm (the saints)

Negative on bottom of clouds = Satans’s realm. He is prince of the power of the air. (2^nd heaven)

Positive on top of the clouds = Jesus realm (third heaven)

Charge of electricity moves the saints (+ particles) to the top of the cloud. Shout; voice of the archangel and the trump (charge) of God caught up (return stroke)

Thunder (voice of God) lightening and voices out of God’s throne. Psalm 29:3; Psalm 77:19; Psalm 104:7; Psalm 18:3; Job 40:9; John 12:29 voice from heaven

Exodus 19: Moses went up: Lord came down: thunder, lightening and dark clouds.

Lightening comes off Jesus fingers, hits us in the belly (seat of the spirit) and we are changed in an instant, sucked through any enclosure and meet the Lord in the air.

What would a world wide lightening strike do? Knock all the power out! This is a giant Electro Magnetic Pulse.

Peace is suddenly taken from the earth. World will be in panic, killing each other. Nothing works. Back to the dark ages for weeks and months or longer. Deut 4:11; 5:22; 1 Sam 2:9; 2 Sam 22:10 Psalm 97:2; Isaiah 8:22; Zeph. 1:14-16; Isaiah 16:22 darkness covers the earth. Entire earth goes into complete darkness. Isaiah 13

Coming of the Lord and the EMP Effect

Millions of bodies changed at one time causing EM Pulse; atomic reaction. Peace taken from the earth instantly.

This powerful pulse burns out copper wiring and machine components. This world back to the 1800s

Ezekiel 38 and 39 they are on horseback. No machines work. The hook in the jaws drawing this great army is starvation. Israel can grow enough food to feed the world because of their underground springs. This is at the beginning of the tribulation. This is why weapons are burning for 7 years.

Steven Hawkings has studied wormholes, blackholes. These exist in space. If you enter the hole at one end and it is billions of miles long, you exit instantly. Those who have had death experiences and come back speak of a TUNNEL. They see a tunnel and see Jesus and a city. Distance matters not!

Perhaps the TV show Stargate and Stargate Atlantis are not so far off. Maybe that is why so many Christians are attracted to those shows.

Praise the Lord. His return is very near. See you at the other end of the tunnel.

Prayer for Salvation: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. If we have invited Jesus to come and live within us and be the Lord of our lives then our inheritance in the future kingdom is assured.

God's word says in John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

In order to invite Jesus to be your Savior and Lord, you must believe in you heart that He is the Son of God, believe that He died upon the cross of Calvary as an atonement for your wrong doings, and believe that He arose from death and the grave. We must confess and repent of our sins and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. If you have never done this then stop right now and pray this prayer.

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus repenting and asking forgiveness of all my sins. Your Word says, "whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:21). I am calling on You. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life according to Romans 10:9-10. "If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved" I do that now. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I am a Christian ..a child of Almighty God! I am saved!

You are now an heir to the Kingdom of God! Your future is assured. I want to encourage you to find a church in your local area to attend. Tell someone that you have just received Jesus as your Lord. Than start digging into God's Word.
